I guess you mean firmware v3.0. I am not 100% sure, but i think it is embedded within the latest software version. So upgrade to the latest software and then update the firmware. Check the post about the upgrade, but be warned: there are reports that the upgrade can ruin your motherboard! So do it at your own risk! Succes, Gertjan

I have an Olive 4HD, which appears to have died and taken all of my music with it. I have had it for approx 5 years. a few weeks ago, I turned it off at the rear switch and left it for half an hour, switched it back on, and asked if I wanted a system check. I agreed and left it running. When I returned the date had gone July 1970 and all of my music has disapeared and will not allow me to reset anything, from the time to the date, or even the location. It just keeps showing me American locations. It will not find its network adapter either. Has anyone else had this problem.

I suggest that you ask this on the AVS forum. Do you have a backup available? In that case, check the website how you can obtain the music from the backup. If not, you might try to remove the harddisk from the olive and see if the database and music are still available.

The recovery cd image of Olive Opus 4 is not working. I have written it on a CD, but the olive is not booting up. Can you help me by giving a link to download the image file of Opus 4.

The recovery CD should work. However, note that the first startup may take a very very long time. Also, my own Olive 4 did not startup again at the end of its life, I checked that with an other Olive, The new recovered Harddisk was OK in another Olive and worked, my Olive however could not start a known good harddisk as well.... And a lot of other people on the forum had the same issue. Please check the forum and ask there if you'll need more info.

how can I get an updated app for my iPad to work my Olive 4HD. It seems the latest iOS update from apple has rendered my app useless and since my screen rarely works , my olive 4hd is useless. need help!

Check the AVS forum, last entry. You can use the Opus web page that the screen also uses.

i just buyed a second hand o4hd it cames with fw1.0 (sw4.3.2) performed up button + forward button.IT WORKED! i'm now in FW3.0 (24/03/2017) recovery files taked on your site to recover o4hd no action while plug the usb stick (fat32,4096kb)!!!

Hello, Today I tried to save the datas of my olive4HD with your software.I have 2800 Cds in Flac on my Olive. So I started the software and when I came back all the Artist and albums were shawn in the directory but only a part (25%) of the tracks were transfered. So what could went wrong ? Another question: how can I save the Tags with mp3tag? What does it mean to save them and how to do it automaticly? And the steps to do after saving the tags are something like chinese for me ... Sorry. Do you know somebody who could do this work for me or who could explain what to do in german ? I think I would like to transfer my Music on a NAS and to choose another Streamer. Sorry for my bad english and bad IT knowledge... Thanks and best regards Dieter Leonard

Hi, I've found your very good site searching for a method to recovery my Olive 03HD. The screen remained freezed on the white screen (system is starting, please wait ...), but via Olive app or PC I could manage the Olive. Then, after a backup (made via PC, using the http address I learned from your excellent manual), I tried to recovery it (using the recovery files found on AVS forum, on page 124), but the screen remaind freezed (it doesn't appear insert USB or recovery in progress, etc.) and I can see that the Olive doesn't read the USB stick (but the USB is compatible becouse I tried it before the recovery and the Olive read it ...). So, in the end, have you any idea to recover the Olive or do I have to decree his definitive death? Thanks in advance (and sorry for my english, I'm from Italy). Kind regards Pietro

After some email exchange it turned out that the files were not the right size. The correct files were downloaded from www.lydo.nl/download/ Hopefully this will help to get the Olive working again...
